The Bannen Way: Set to Wrap
"The Bannen Way" shooting comes to a close, but there's more to come.

As we approach the final days of shooting for The Bannen Way, and the process of editing begins, one thing is for certain – The Bannen Way is going to be a one of a kind web event. A production that truly raises the bar for online content.

We’re going to hold back on the story spoilers for now, but here are some juicy tidbits from the set to whet your appetite until January.

With a star-studded cast including  Michael Ironside (Terminator Salvation), Vanessa Marcil (Beverly Hills, 90210), and Academy Award nominees Michael Lerner (Barton Fink) and Robert Forster (Jackie Brown), it was difficult to choose one great scene from all that were shot to give you a taste of The Bannen Way. However, one that did stand out for the show’s crew was a climactic one between lead actor Mark Gantt and Forster, who plays his Mob Boss Uncle, Mr. B. While this is a production full of beautiful sights, (Bannen does visit a strip club), this one took the crew’s breath away. The duo stood out in Griffith Park at 3a.m. with the city of Los Angeles spread out like a grid of diamonds at their feet. Truly cinematic and trust us, exciting.

Speaking of the beauty in Bannen, it’s been made clear that Bannen’s women are not just drop dead gorgeous, but also drop dead…ly. One of the last three week’s high points comes from actress Autumn Reeser, currently a regular on Entourage. In her turn as  the character known only as “Jailbait,” she manages to not only give a convincing turn as a woman you wouldn’t want to be “caught dead” with, but she also performs a sexy bit of action true to her name. Not to be outdone “Stilletto” (Brittany Ishibashi) also manages an incredible action scene where she takes out a team of guys in fatigues.

Many breathtaking sights managed to show up, but one that made everyone’s mouth water was Bannen’s car, the 2010 Jaguar XKR. When the Jag was delivered to the set -- everything stopped. With a black finish so deep that it creates the illusion of changing color depending on where you stand, it is a show stopper. The cast and crew gravitated to it like a new moon and pulled out their cameras. They snapped more shots than the paparazzi at The Ivy. And Bannen puts it to the test in the series.

The Bannen Way was a shoot to remember, but there’s a hell of a lot more on the way. Missing any of the above would be unfortunate, missing the series would be criminal.
