The disastrous opening of his new film has left producer Peter Dragon (Jay Mohr, Jerry Maguire) with a problem. Not only has the poor showing undermined his position in the dog-eat-dog world of Hollywood, but a costly mistake has led him to buy a script he doesn’t want. To survive, he enlists the sexy and shrewd Wendy Ward, a former child star turned prostitute, in his campaign to get studio chief (and his pregnant ex-wife’s current husband) Bob Gianopolis to make the film. But when Bobby G leaves him $50 million short, Peter must find the rest on his own. In a wild ride that puts him in league with a wealthy Asian playboy, a drug-addicted actor, his overweight female co-star, Wendy’s former pimp, and a vain British director, Peter faces seemingly insurmountable obstacles – including impending fatherhood and a near-fatal heart attack – to finish the film and save his reputation.
