Crafty but troublemaking high school sophomore Sebastian Valmont (Robin Dunne) goes to live with his father and wealthy new stepfamily in their Manhattan mansion and attend prestigious Manchester Prep. There he meets his stepsister, Kathryn Merteuil (Amy Adams), a ruthless manipulator and head of a forbidden secret society. Kathryn takes a break from harassing her new stepbrother to target pretty airhead Cherie Caldwell (Keri Lynn Pratt) after she mocks Kathryn's welcoming speech. Sebastian develops a relationship with the headmaster's daughter, Danielle (Sarah Thompson), but when he learns Danielle's "love" for him is an act staged by Kathryn, Sebastian joins his stepsister, and the society, to do what he does best-use his gift for creating outrageous schemes to rid their school of undesirables.
