In this witty, affectionate parody of the high school comedy and horror films of the past 20 years, Courtney (Rose McGowan), Julie (Rebecca Gayheart), Marcie (Julie Benz) and Liz (Charlotte Roldan) are all best friends. Or, to be more precise, they are drawn together by their status as the most popular and beautiful girls at Reagan High. They are at the height of their popularity when an innocent birthday prank played on Liz, the sweetest member of the clique, results in her accidental death. When class nerd Fern Mayo (Judy Greer) stumbles across their frantic attempts to cover up, Courtney makes a deal, they will make Fern beautiful and popular beyond her wildest dreams in exchange for her silence. The result is a dark comic tale of corruption, redemption and the life-or-death matter of teenage popularity.
