The Blob (1988)

A remake that is definitely better than the original – camp with surprise screams.

- This is a movie with a good pedigree. Not only is it based on the '58 film that starred Steve McQueen, but one of the screenwriters is Frank Darabont, writer and director of The Shawshank Redemption.

- Not all special effects are high tech. Rock salt was dyed purple to create the crystallized Blob for the end of the movie.

- Johnny Drama knows how to ride. The motorcycles used by Kevin Dillon in the film are a 500cc T100R Triumph Tiger and a 200cc T20 Triumph Tiger Cub for the jumps.
